Take a walk in the Heritage Forest of Qualicum Beach, 50 acres of rare remnant old growth forest - a mixture of Coastal Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Hemlock, Grand Fir & Sitka Spruce. Smile at the locals as you walk along the mulch trails and peer down a lush ravine into a salmon bearing stream. You will also discover rare and endangered plants, deer, and many species of birds - only five minutes from downtown.

While the Heritage Forest preserves the natural history of Qualicum Beach, it is just as interesting to learn about how it became a park for all to enjoy. Visit the Heritage Forest website to learn about its rich history, including ties to royalty and Hollywood, and the movement to save it from development.
