Temporary Closure of Beaches to Dogs
Beaches within the Parksville Qualicum Beach Wildlife Management Area (PQBWMA) will be temporarily closed to dogs to the annual Brant geese migration. Rathtrevor Beach will be closed to dogs from February 15 to April 30. Parksville Bay Beach and Qualicum Beach from March 1 to April 30.

In Qualicum Beach, discover art galleries including The Old School House Arts Centre, where local work is featured and interesting exhibitions occur often. In Parksville, the McMillan Arts Centre also showcases the work of local artists. The Salish Sea Market in Bowser offers artwork, jewelry, artisan food, and more - all sourced from artists located on the Salish Sea. You can even contribute a few brush strokes to a collaborative painting by a famous local artist who goes by the name of Monk.
