Knox presents...The Acoustic Blues Revue! Featuring 4 amazing artists...

David Gogo has six JUNO Award nominations, has been named Guitarist Of The Year three times at the Maple Blues Awards, was named Musician Of The Year at the West Coast Music Awards, won Blues Recording Of The Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards, and received the Great Canadian Blues Award for his lifetime contribution to the blues in Canada as voted by the listeners of CBC’s Saturday Night Blues. He has performed on stage with the likes of BB King, Johnny Winter, Albert Collins, Bo Diddley, and Otis Rush. He has been chosen to open shows for ZZ Top, George Thorogood, The Tragically Hip, Little Feat, Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Cray, Robin Trower and Wishbone Ash. His songs are featured in films and television and have been covered by a variety of artists, most notably Buddy Guy.

Gerry Barnum - Often described as a musician’s musician, Gerry is a seasoned and soulful artist. His songs range from tender to foot stomping and his guitar technique and harmonica playing is excellent. He performs solo and with his band.

Musical highlights include sharing the stage with some of the best in the business including Lyle Lovett, John Mayall and John Hammond. Gerry also has done many recording sessions including sessions with Michelle Wright, K.D.Lang and David Gogo.

Danny Boy Phelan - Since his childhood in St.Catherines, Ontario, he has played Piano, Harmonica, Mandolin and then later added Guitar to his musical arsenal; although the Banjo was his first serious instrument. In addition to Blues and Jazz, Danny would use these instruments to play Ragtime Jazz, Delta Blues, Bluegrass and Traditional Gospel/Spiritual.

Multi-instrumentalist Danny specializes in 1920's - 1970's Delta Blues, Ol’Tyme Roots & Ragtime Jazz with a dash of electric Blues guitar; that will offer an experience of a golden era of music.

Mick Sherlock is a wonderful Harmonica player, song interpreter and multi instrumentalist originally from the UK but most recently living in Qualicum on Vancouver Island. Mick is a song interpreter influenced equally by UK folk music and North American Roots Music and has managed to tie the two together creating his own style.
