Entry into the pool or hot tub is with steps and accompanying railings for stability. There is one designated wheelchair parking space with plenty of on-site parking.
Accommodations
The Travelodge Parksville offers one accessible room (#118) on the ground floor which at the time of viewing was under renovation. The entry door has 33” (83cm) width making for easy access in a wheelchair. The king bed is accessible from both sides with plenty of maneuvering room for a wheelchair. There is a connecting door to the adjoining room (#120) with 31” (78cm) width.
The washroom is accessible with a 35” (88cm) wide threshold and good access to the sink and toilet. There are large grab bars on both sides of the toilet which can be moved/adjusted as desired. There is a full roll-in shower with an overhead shower head and grab bars on each wall. A shower stool is provided.
