Can you believe the summer we have had? I think it's the best weather we've had in years. I am keeping my fingers crossed for an Indian Summer.
This coming weekend is Labour Day and I don't know what the weather will bring but there will be plenty of sunshine and smiling faces at the 39th Annual Lighthouse Community Fair!
This year's theme is "How Green Is Your Garden?" They have the usual 4H displays and demos plus a ton of events including: the pet & bicycle parade, pony rides, model airplanes, British cars, vintage tractors, artisan tables, food vendors, garden vendors, kids games, and fireman tug o war to name a few.

When you drive along Hwy 19A the Oceanside Route you will understand why they call it a "scenic drive" with all the stunning ocean vistas, quaint galleries, accommodation and friendly eateries.
It's a short 20 minute drive from Qualicum Beach to Lighthouse Country and the Lighthouse Country Fall Fair this Saturday at the Lighthouse Community Centre - Lions Way in Qualicum Bay.
